The Post-Tech City projects examine Cambridge as a city through various lenses. Firstly in the vein of Kevin Lynch's 'Image of the City', psychogeographic drawings try to move away from the common connections of the University to view Cambridge as a city in its own right.
Mapping and surveying were key aspects of Lynch's work. Here they are used to examine how residents, students and those with professional city knowledge view Cambridge.
Looking forward, a charrette to envision the city in 100 years time with a widened river due to global warming culminated in a final project to redevelop a major traffic junction in response to Cambridge's growing congestion, including the proposal of a future Public Rapid Transit network system.
